The Geotechnical Engineering area of CEE at Illinois will host Dr. Gary Brierley, President of Doctor Mole Incorporated, to conduct a short course on tunneling April 12 – 13, 2019. Anyone interested in tunneling is welcome to register, you need not be currently enrolled or affiliated with UIUC. Topics of discussion include intelligent tunnel design, subsurface investigations, geotechnical report preparation, ground/lining interaction, cost estimates, shaft design and construction, ground improvement techniques, contracting practices, construction management, and career development.  All attendees should pre-register using the link provided in the attached flyer.
